Ananas 'Champaca' is a bold and beautiful ornamental pineapple that brings tropical drama wherever it goes. With stiff, sword-like leaves and the potential to produce a small, decorative pineapple, this plant is a total conversation starter. Whether or not it fruits, the wild rosette form and silvery green tones make it a perfect sculptural feature for bright spaces.

Plant Care
Light:
Loves full sun to bright indirect light. Give it as much sun as you can indoors, or pop it outside in summer for a proper tropical glow-up.

Watering:
Let the top half of the soil dry out before watering. Avoid soaking the centre rosette too often, and use rainwater or filtered water where possible.

Temperature:
Thrives in 20–28°C. Keep it above 15°C, and bring indoors before nights get chilly.

Potting:
Best in our A Sandy Loam mix — free-draining and just gritty enough to suit its bromeliad roots.

Hot tips:
This plant may produce a small pineapple after a few years — treat it like a bonus! Once it fruits, the main plant will slowly die back, but pups will pop up around the base. You can pot those up and start the party again.

Pet Friendly: No

Just what I was looking for: Informative, clear, and concise
Format: Paperback
I've been looking for ways to learn about first aid beyond the basics of CPR and Stop the Bleed. This book is the best resource I've found so far. It is well organized, clearly written, and a pleasure to read.

Comprehensive wilderness medicine reference
Format: Paperback
First off, this book should be supplement to actual in-person first aid training and course work. I only have my background in Boy Scouts and work required first aid/cpr/stop the bleed response to base this upon. But there is no substitute for competent in-person and hands on training, even if you have excellent books for reference. That said, this book does have a very thorough guide on most issues that could be faced in wilderness and emergency situations. The cross over for urban use, would be situations like a natural disaster that renders hospitals and EMS unavailable or over capacity. It's a very affordable book for all the information it contains, and is published by a reputable school. NOLS has been teaching outdoors skills since it was formed in the 1960s. If you can keep a level head and have decent reading comprehension, this book lays out diagnostic and treatment advice for many life threatening injuries and accidents. I'd recommend this book to anyone looking to expand and supplement their knowledge beyond basic first aid and CPR.

Had an older edition and bought the most current edition. Very well written.
Format: Paperback
Classic text. Written at the college level. Text treats each topic initially from point of what are the causes of this injury, and how to prevent it. Then it goes into what will need to happen with an occurrence. No pictures, but that's a good thing. There are many drawings which do a better job of highlighting what is important.
