The strong lines of the molding that frame the crib are softened by the gentle curves that are present on both the headboard and footboard. The understated flair of the design brings together the Baroque curve motif with a charmingly modern design. The footboard is a lovely combination of straight slats that are offset by the curves echoing each other and hinting at the parts of an oval. The feet of the crib are also defined by a delicate curve that runs along the bottom of the piece. On the headboard there are strong straight lines that travel down from the curve almost seeming to hold that delicate detail in the air.

IT does protect from the sun.

It protects from the sun without a doubt and lasts well. The downsides are that it leaves a greasy and "white" residue that no matter how much you rub it in.....it stays there. I use it when I am working outside and not planning on going anywhere anytime soon.
